1/4 cup confectioner's sugar
1 egg
1 1/4 cups flour

Second Layer:
2 eggs
3/4 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup finely chopped pecans (or walnuts, or macadamias, your choice)
1/2 cup flaked coconut

Glaze:
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest
1 cup confectioner's sugar
2 tablespoons orange juice

For first layer: Cream butter in small mixing bowl. Gradually add sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Beat in egg. Blend in flour. Pat evenly in a 13-by-9-by-2-inch ungreased baking pan. Bake in preheated 325-degree F. oven
15 minutes or until pale golden. Let cool on rack a few minutes.
