An Old Home in the Garden District of New Orleans
An old home in the Garden District of New Orleans,
seen July 26, 1954, is typical of the spacious mansions
constructed in the city during the prosperous sugar cane
and steamboat era prior to the Civil War. The house
was constructed in 1856.
