"Gratitude
unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into
enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order,
confusion to clarity.
It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a
home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past,
brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow."
~ Melody Beattie

How Power Comes
"Lord, Thou art our Refuge. Our God, in Thee do we trust.
O Master, come and talk with us."
"All power is given unto Me. It is Mine to give, Mine to withhold,
but even
I have to acknowledge that I cannot withhold it from the
soul that dwells
near Me, because it is then not a gift, but passes
insensibly from Me to
My disciples.
It is breathed in the the soul who lives in My Presence.
Learn to shut yourself away in My Presence - and then, without
speaking,
you have those things you desire of Me, Strength -
Power - Joy - Riches."

Calling, January 23

"For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing
even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner
of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
~ Hebrews 4:12
Good Morning, Lord!
"The communication of your faith
will become effectual as you acknowledge
every good thing that is in you in Christ!
...Put on the new man by declaring who
you are in Christ. Make a confession
of faith and acknowledge the things
you have now 'In Christ'. "
Confession
"I am who God says I am. I have what
God says I have. I acknowledge right now
by faith every good thing that in mine in
Christ. I am a new creation in Christ. Old
things are passed away. A whole new
world has opened up to me in Christ in
the Spirit. I have been born again. I have
been born of God. Old habits, attitudes,
and controlling influences are broken and
cut away from my life by the sword of the
Spirit, which is the Word of God.
I acknowledge every good thing that is
mine in Christ right now. I have been
made the righteousness of God in Christ.
Victory is mine now in Christ. In Him I
am more than a conqueror. I am righteous.
I am strong in the Lord and in the power
of His might.
I have been redeemed from the curse of
the law. Christ has redeemed me from all
iniquity. The law of the Spirit of life in
Christ has made me free from the law of
sin and death. I am free. I am righteous.
Right now I am victorious. I am in Christ
and Christ is in me. I am blessed with
every spiritual blessing in Christ right
now. I am the workmanship of God,
created in Christ Jesus. I receive with
meekness the engrafted Word, which is
saving my soul. I am a doer of the Word.
I am who God says I am. I am complete
in Christ. In Him I am strong. In Him I
am free. In Him I am blessed!"

Acknowledging Every Good Thing
That Is in You in Christ
~ Mark Hankins

"God has given you powerful promises in His
Word - peace, joy, health, provision, and more...
When you begin to say the same thing God has
promised you, faith will build in your heart and
your life will begin to change...
...speak the Word over the situations you face
on a daily basis..."
Start the Day with God
"This is the day the Lord has made, and I will
rejoice and be glad in it. God's mercy and grace
are new every morning in my life.
I rejoice because I am God's child. I have been
filled with His Spirit. Greater is He that is in
me than he that is in the world. The Holy Spirit
is bigger than any problem, obstacle, or challenge.
The Holy Spirit gives me wisdom and discernment
regarding every decision I need to make today.
I acknowledge God through prayer and worship,
my steps are ordered and directed of Him. The Lord
gives me wisdom and insight concerning all the
affairs of my life.
I choose to be a blessing to all those around me.
No matter what happens today, I know God will
see me through. I can do all things through Christ
who strengthens me, and if God is for me then no
one can be against me.
I choose to honor God today by the words I speak,
I will honor God by the way I act. I will honor God
by allowing His Love, light, and truth to shine
through me.
I am the head and not the tail; I am above and not
beneath; I am blessed coming in and blessed going
out. I am ready for anything and equal to anything
through Christ Jesus. He always causes me to
triumph. No weapon formed against me shall
prosper. I am strong in the Lord and the power
of His might. Today is going to be a great day!"

Daily Verse from
Heartlight
"I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations;
I will sing of you among the peoples."
~ Psalm 108:3
Thoughts on today's verse...
Songs go where evangelism, witnessing, and planned outreach
sometimes cannot go. Songs tell a story, offer praise, and deliver
truth in a package that opens the heart and stirs the emotions.
Songs give life to the soul and stir something primal, buried deep
inside by God. When you are around friends you are trying to reach
with the Gospel, listen for the kind of music they like. Then when
the time is right, point them to songs that share the message of the
Gospel with a melody and beat that can stir their hearts. God wants
us to praise him, not just in our sanctuaries and churches, but with
our friends and across cultures. He wants us to sing in ways that
help other people know the "heart song" of our Redeemer's love."
My Prayer...
"Almighty God and righteous Father, thank You so much for the
gift of song. Thank You for lyricists that capture the mood of our
hearts and the word of Your grace and help move others closer to
faith. Please bless all those involved in bringing Christian songs
to the public and making your Word more understandable to the
masses. Empower singing in Your Church, and help us to sing of
your salvation in ways that reach all peoples on the earth.
In Jesus' name I pray. Amen."

You Can Be 'Fear-Free'
"I confess that I am free from worry, fretfulness, and anxiety.
These forces have no place in me! I have surrendered every care
and concern to Jesus, and He has taken them from me. As a result,
I am free of every burden, every weight, and every problem. Jesus
is my great High Priest, and He is interceding for me right now.
With God on my side, I can enjoy life as He intended for me to
enjoy it. I boldly confess that I am fear-free and worry-free and
that anxiety has no place in me. I declare this by faith in
Jesus' name!"
Scriptural reference:
"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by
prayer and supplication with thanksgiving
let your requests be made known unto God."
~ Philippians 4:6
You Are the Righteousness of God
"I confess that I am the righteousness of God in Jesus Christ. Jesus
became sin for me so I could become the righteousness of God in Him.
The Holy Spirit is the Great Convincer, and He is busy convincing me
that I am free from defects and from sin, no longer the person I used
to be. Because Jesus' blood touched, washed, and cleansed me, I am
now free! I declare this by faith in Jesus' name!"
Scriptural reference:
For if by one man's offence death reigned by one;
much more they which receive abundance of grace
and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life
by one, Jesus Christ.
~ Romans 5:17
God's Abounding Grace
"I confess that God's grace is poured out mightily to drive back the
forces of darkness during times of difficulty and chaos. God uses
these dark moments as opportunities to pour out His grace and to
show others who He is. The world may reel in fear and uncertainty,
but God is always near. I declare by faith that God will reveal His
power and intervene with His grace to bring the solution for this
difficult hour. I declare this by faith in Jesus' name!"
Scriptural reference:
"Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound.
But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:"
~ Romans 5:20
Overcoming a Financial Attack
"I confess that I am an overcomer! Difficult circumstances do not control
my life or my obedience. Instead of surrendering to the attacks that are
assailing my finances, I am going to throw a knockout punch at the face
of the devil! At this critical moment, I am going to sow an extra financial
seed that will break the devil's stranglehold on my life. Once I obey what
the Holy Spirit is telling me to do, I will boldly command the devil to take
his foul hands off my finances! It won't be long before the seed I sow is
multiplied back into my life. Then I'll stand in the manifestation of
God's blessings. I declare this by faith in Jesus' name!"
Scriptural reference:
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in
due season we shall reap, if we faint not."
~ Galatians 6:9
Protection for Your Mind
"I confess that I bring every thought into the captivity of Christ.
When the devil tries to invade my mind with lies, I capture those
lies and drive them clear out of my brain! Rather than fall victim
to the devil's attacks, I seize every thought that he tries to use to
penetrate my mind and my emotions. I grab each lie and force it
into submission! Because I stand firm on the Word, the enemy's
lies are not able to exert any power against me. I declare this by
faith in Jesus' name!"
Scriptural reference:
"Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may
be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."
~ Ephesians 6:11

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of
God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, accept-
able
unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed
by
the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that
good,
and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
~ Romans 12:1-2

Food for Thought:
"The best thing to give to your enemy is forgiveness; to
an opponent, tolerance; to a friend, your heart; to your
child, a good example; to a father, deference; to your
mother, conduct that will make her proud of you; to
yourself, respect; to all men, charity."
~ Francis Maitland Balfour

"Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile,
a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the
smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to
turn a life around."
~ Leo Buscaglia

"There lies within most of us an innate quality that compels
us to give of ourselves for the good of mankind."
~ Clyde C. Kissinger
